FNSTools is made by Dan Molnar, a Berlin-based artist and developer working as Function Store, with a few community contributors (more are welcome). The toolkit grew out of building installations and live systems in TouchDesigner: the things he wished he had on the job, packaged so that anyone can install just the ones they want.
Trained in electrical engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Dan builds audiovisual installations, live performance systems and the TouchDesigner infrastructure behind them, for festivals, studios and clients worldwide. As a system designer he specialises in robust, high-performance environments that serve both the creative vision of visual developers and the operational needs of a show.
He shares long-form tutorials on YouTube and Patreon, runs hands-on workshops for artists and developers at all levels, and is co-founder of DEREAL Studio, a creative studio working at the intersection of immersive technology and spatial experience.
