Terms

Short version: the free toolkit is MIT and yours to do nearly anything with; the Plus packages are licensed to you personally while your membership or licence is live; and everything ships as-is, with no warranty.

The free packages

Nearly all of FNSTools is published under the MIT licence, and the licence text in the repository governs it. You may use it commercially, modify it, and ship work made with it. That will not change for a package that is already free.

The Plus packages

• What you get. A licence to use the package for your own work — personal and commercial alike — for as long as your Patreon membership is active, or perpetually if you bought a licence key.
• What you do not get. The right to redistribute, resell, publish, or bundle the package into something you hand on, and the right to share your licence key or device token. Plus packages are not MIT and are not published to the public repository.
• One person. A membership or a key covers you and the machines you work on, not a studio roster. For team licensing, just ask.
• If it lapses. Cancelling a membership stops future updates and downloads. What is already installed keeps running — nothing reaches into your projects to disable itself.

Payment

Memberships are billed by Patreon and keys are sold by Gumroad. Their terms and refund policies apply to the transaction; we never see or hold your payment details. If something went wrong with an unlock, write and it will get sorted.

No warranty

FNSTools is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. It is creative tooling that runs inside your TouchDesigner projects: keep backups, and test before a show. To the extent the law allows, Function Store is not liable for any damages arising from its use.

Fair use of the gate

Sharing a licence key or a device token, or scripting the gate to hand entitlements to people who do not hold one, ends the licence and the session. That is the only circumstance in which access is revoked without notice.

Changes

These terms may change as the toolkit grows. Changes apply going forward, never retroactively to a licence you already hold, and this page lives in the repository so its history is public.
