Where it appears

Read off the registry hosts in the component, so this is where the tool puts itself in a default install; every one of these can be reordered or hidden from Hub.

Custom OpMenu Search Keywords

This is a table to define custom search keywords for each OpType for the OpMenu / OP Create Dialog. Read more here. It is also reachable as the SearchWords tab of Hub (the FNS button in the main-menu bar).

OpMenu Mods

OpMenu is a set of mods to TouchDesigner's OP Create dialog (/ui/dialogs/menu_op). They are applied through OpMenuRegistry, so several tools can decorate the same dialog without fighting over it, and so the dialog goes back to stock the moment you remove them.

The mods this package ships are below: Greg Hermanovic's IO filters, custom search keywords, and Dotsimulate's OpType acronyms. Other installed tools add their own decorations through the same registry, for instance OpTemplates marks every operator type you have a template for with a >>>.

Greg's IO Filters

This OP Create dialog mod by Greg Hermanovic adds filtering options to the OP Create dialog menu to the top right, showing only IO operators (IO option), or ops without the IO ones (-IO) or all (All, default).

IO operators are considered ones that interact with resources outside of TouchDesigner such as sensors or web interfaces.

Custom Search Keywords

For each OP Type you can define custom search keywords. For example you can find Pattern CHOP by typing ramp or cos, or you can find Audio File In by typing music in the OP search field. The definition table is fully customizable through the custom UI, and is synced across project files.

Dotsimulate's OpType acronyms

Thanks to Dotsimulate, you can also list OpTypes based on their acronym. Meaning you can find Movie File Out by typing m f o, and so on.

Parameters

Its Registry page comes from FNS_ConfigRegistry, FNS_HubRegistry and FNS_OpMenuRegistry.
