ParRandomizer

Randomize parameter values within range, for quick exploration.

Where it appears

Read off the registry hosts in the component, so this is where the tool puts itself in a default install; every one of these can be reordered or hidden from Hub.

Shortcuts

Global: they fire anywhere in TouchDesigner. Shortcuts scoped to a single panel are a local control scheme and stay off this list.

  • Alt+R
  • Alt+Shift+R
  • Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R
  • Ctrl+Shift+R

ParRandomizer

  • Click to randomize selected OP value sliders.
  • You can also DragDrop an OP to randomize it.
  • You can DragDrop a parameter to randomize it.
  • Ctrl+RightClick-> reset all params
  • Ctrl+Shift+RightClick-> set current params as default

Hotkeys also available:

  • Alt(Opt)+Shift+R to randomize selected OP
  • Alt(Opt)+R to randomize hovered param
  • Ctrl+Shift+R reset hovered param
  • Ctrl+Shift+Alt+R reset all params in hovered param's page

Parameters

Its Registry page comes from FNS_ConfigRegistry and FNS_ToolbarRegistry.

Custom

ActiveActive on / offon Turn ParRandomizer on or off. When on, the toolbar button, drag-and-drop and the shortcuts below randomize parameters. Off leaves the component installed but idle.
